Interview with the International Pageant Director

Our International Pageant Director Mary Richardson is filled with great advice and we are so glad we had the opportunity to Interview her!

How did you get involved with pageantry? Directed for another system and felt there had to be a better system out there.

What sets apart the International Pageant System from other pageants? We always put the contestant first! I try to put myself in the contestants shoes and also the parents of the contestant. With me Competing myself and also being a state director before we purchased Mrs. International I feel that I have walked in many shoes before taking over as the National Director for the best system that prides itself in high morals and integrity.

Name the top five reasons why women should compete with the International Pageant System. ( 1) Passion for spreading the word for the platform. (2) Knowing they are making a difference with the title. (3) Did the platform choose you or you chose the platform? (4) Knowing that the support system is the best there is if she wins our pageants. And finally understanding that you can use the crown and title to get into doors that you may never have.

This pageant is platform based, can you tell us what makes a great platform?The passion that the contestant has can really touch people and convince them the important of making a difference at the end of the day. What legacy are they leaving ?

What made you want to support GoRed for Women? Knowing that is only (1) contestant can save (1) life then it was worth sharing with that person that Heart Disease is very real!

What advice would you give to local contestants on how they can raise awareness for GoRed for Women? Get involved. Go Red is like other Non-Profits, they need tons of volunteers . There is never enough help! Either helping with walks/ balls or getting on social media and driving the message to as many people as they can!
